Best nine 2017

This will be a short post, as I am preparing something very special for the weekend :). I wanted to share the best nine 2017 – maybe you’ve came across it while scrolling through your Instagram feed, but if you haven’t’ heard about it yet, you can check out the whole thing here. It’s a nice way to see your most liked photos, the style of photo editing you have developed, your personal aesthetics… A nice recap of your Instagram year, before we put down our phones and take a break from social media – just what I am planing to do during the holidays. I’m not saying I won’t take any photos, but I’ll definitely take a short break from Instagram, Facebook and just spend time with my loved ones (without phones on the table :D). Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂

A positive body image in the age of perfection

poledance (23 of 33)

I’ve decided to share my story a few weeks ago and let me be honest, it was scary. But at the same time, it was like a huge weight was lifted off me and I could leave that chapter of my life behind. I’ve been thinking a lot about a positive image since then and why do we find it so hard to love our bodies the way they are. I can look on my experience from a distance now and I can see how much I wanted to be perfect, but for me, the standard was so high, I could never reach that perfection. I also included some pole photos in this post – no retouch, no hiding of ”flaws”. Pole dancing is a sport that sometimes squeezes your body, shows your rolls and cellulite, but it’s my happy place and I feel the most comfortable there. When I was younger, I saw that complaining about your body is an often subject in girls conversations. Whether it’s just general complaining about that few extra pounds (the ones that, believe me, are not extra, that’s just the way we see it), talking about diets, about running, working out… And nowadays it’s no different. We keep seeing photos of some would call it perfect bodies (let’s admit it, we know what Photoshop can do) and we compare ourselves to them in our everyday lives. But you know what? In our everyday, there is no perfect, soft lighting or many layers of powder to keep our skin looking perfect. There are no posed moments. It’s just us and our (sometimes busy) lives. We sometimes do our make up in bad lighting. Sometimes there’s a light in a room that gives us bags under our eyes. We are bloated on some parts of the month, or maybe we just don’t feel like wearing a tight dress when going to dinner because of our ”food baby”.

Now it’s time for our fifth blogmas guest post! Let’s see what Petra wrote about her winter style. Thank you, Petra

For me, this winter is all about nude shades. Warm, cozy sweaters with different textures and materials are a must.

Since I have this passion for the matching wardrobe, everything needs to be perfectly sorted.

GIVEAWAY: WOODEN RING BY LESEMA

lesema (10 of 13)

I visited Ema’s lovely shop in Kranj last Friday. She has the cutest store with a great atmosphere and of course, gorgeous products! 🙂 Which, by the way, look as great as they do on the photos. So I recommend you a visit if you go for a walk around the old part of Kranj, or a digital visit of her Etsy shop. I love walking around this kind of stores in festive time, it’s so much better than going around shopping malls, much less hectic and much more comfortable. And you have more time to find gifts, the crowd doesn’t stress you out, you support local designers… Anyway, I’m glad to tell you that can win one of Lesema’s gorgeous ginko rings from the new collection on my Instagram profile.

PINK-KNIT--34

Hey Pia’s tribe! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my guest post. Today I’m here with my classic winter outfit. Cozy knits and jeans are basically something I wear every day during colder temperatures. As soon as I saw it’s snowing outside we ran out to shoot these photos, and the scenery was just perfect. Since this is an outfit post (and I’m not so big on writing) I’ll let you to the photos. Hope you like them!

NIka SWEATER 3

I love social media as it always connects me with the best people. I met so many wonderful people through Instagram and Pia is one of them. I love people, who strive in always bettering and challenging themselves. That is how you grow, right? When Pia told me she is planning on doing blogmas this year and would like me to write a guest post, I immediately said YES! I am very excited for her that she chose to challenge herself this way and also thankful for this opportunity as it is also getting me to step out of my comfort zone and write my first blogpost.
