I’m a bit late with this post (blush :D), but the last month has been crazy busy. So better late than never. I’ve gather 10 tips for everyone, travelling to Amsterdam and I hope that you’ll find them useful. And I also want to share some photos 😀 I mean, Amsterdam is just beautiful in every season!

There are places that look magical even on a cold, cloudy winter day, such as Zelenci. That perfect emerald green colour charms everyone, regardless of the weather and is taking over Instagram :). You don’t have to walk far to get to them – it depends on the parking spot, so the walk can take 10-15 minutes or 1 hour. It’s a place to see, where you can enjoy in the beautiful sights and relax. It’s a place you have to visit, if you are near Kranjska Gora, and you won’t spend the whole day walking there, so you’ll have plenty of time to visit other sights nearby (such as Lake Jasna) and possibly risk seeing TOO MANY beautiful places in one day. It may sound cheesy, but Zelenci and so many sights nearby are a true winter wonderland. Even though I can’t wait for spring and warmer temperatures, I just love sights like this.

Today I decided to write about one of my favourite destinations (and most instagramable places) in Slovenia. I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I didn’t know that lake Jasna exist until I went to a trip around that part of Slovenia 3 years ago, and while we were driving from Zelenci to Vršič pass, we saw a beautiful lake with mountains in the background. And yeah, I had no idea what’s the name of the lake. But from then on, I’ve returned to this lake every few months. It’s one of those places that looks great in every season. In the summer, you can go for a quick swim or just enjoy the beautiful nature, and in the winter, you can drink a cup of mulled wine or start a fun snowball fight with your friends.

I can’t believe that this is the fifth blogmas post! Time flies by so fast and before we know it, it will be Christmas. Since we already saw the first snow in Slovenia and the temperatures are quite cold, I decided to go on a trip to the beautiful winter wonderland – Bled. I’m sure you’ve heard of it, as it is one of the most famous Slovenian touristic destinations and for a good reason: come on, this place looks like something from a fairy-tale! If you have the opportunity, I would recommend you to visit Bled on a workday. I visited it on Monday and I hardly met anyone on the way around the lake! Everything was so calm an peaceful in comparison to summer and weekends. I didn’t expect that but I was pleasantly surprised :). And so was my boyfriend who hates the crowds 😀 All in all, it was a perfect winter walk. No need for festive music, stands, mulled wine. Just nature…and well, a ”kremšnita” (one of the best Slovenian desserts) is a must :).

Rome for students (or anyone else who wants to travel on a budget and get the best experience)
I’ve always dreamed of visiting Rome, and since I’ve started working in a museum, even more. And when I found out that Ryanair flies to Rome from Trieste (less than 2 hours away from Ljubljana), I had to book the tickets. Me and my boyfriend found a cozy room in a guesthouse with a shared bathroom and kitchen near the main station, close to the center of the city and the main attractions.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve loved to visit Croatia in the summer. I love the islands with the clearest water, I love the seaside towns, I love the beautiful nature. This year, I decided to go on a longer vacation than usual. I’ve spend almost two weeks (yeah I know it’s not that long, but for a girl that hasn’t spent more than 5 days at the seaside for the last 10 years, it is) in a camp in Istria, near Novigrad. But I can’t be at one place for too long, I decided to go on a one day trip to a lovely town by the coast, I’ve wanted to visit for a while – Rovinj.

The first month of 2017 is almost over and I’m already thinking about where I would like to travel this year. I would like to say that it’s a realistic wishlist, but it’s actually a product of a daydreaming Sunday. Hopefully, I’ll travel to at least one of these locations, but we’ll see what the time will bring. Even though I would like to just pack my suitcase and go, there are some compromises I have to make with my studies, my job and my wallet. So where do I want to travel to this year (only limited to places I haven’t been to yet – finding extremely cheap tickets to London and spending a few days there has been a constant every year or two :))
